Wow...Time Flies!

We apologize for not updating regularly.....we've just been settling in. We are still settling in. The school is AMAZING! Right now we are going through some "basics" for our classes. They are History of Christianity in Culture, Organizational Communications, Christian Growth and Development, and Biblical Foundations of Worship. Each class is so good, sometimes you feel that you can't type fast enough to get all of the "nuggets" of info from these guys. We also as a group of students work out together. Also, as apart of our Worship School experience, we are apart of the choir. That's been great because we've been "behind the scenes" and can really learn from the New Life Worship Team. New Life Church just put on a Worship Leader Conference called the Enter Conference. Amber and I were volunteers and also attended some sessions. It was a great experience and we definitely want to attend next year. We also are taking private lessons. We both have excellent guitar teachers and at least for me, I already feel miles ahead in my skill than I did when I first started the lessons. However, the "sharpening" of skills has been the least part of our training. In fact, the students just started to lead worship at a weekly devotional. We haven't done anything else. Amber and I lead that weekly devotional next February. They really are focusing on relationship with God(Worship is a response to what God is doing in your heart......) and your character. Next semester we'll go through the classes like "how to rehearse a band" and music theory, but for now they want to ensure they focus on building our character and really teaching us how that relates to leading worship.
Amber and I both have jobs now. Amber is working at a flooring company called Arlun Floor Coverings and Design center. I am working at the Geek Squad in Best Buy. We are blessed to have those jobs! We do need prayer about our house....it still hasn't sold. We are convinced that God has a plan in this and we have had everything we needed provided for us. We are trusting in Him on this. We will start to update this more regularly so keep checking the blog!!! We love and miss everyone back home!

First Post!!!! Star Wars style

This is our first post of our move to Colorado going to the school. Instead of doing a typical post we decided to do a theme....a star wars theme. Just thought it would be fun!......check out these photos and video(Amber makes an awesome Jedi!).....
